JIRA TECHNICAL SPECIALIST Full Time

Our client seeks a highly skilled Jira Technical Specialist to join their growing engineering operations team. This role focuses on the deep technical configuration, integration, and automation of Atlassian tools (primarily Jira and Confluence) to support agile project delivery across cross-functional development teams.

What do we expect from you once you’re here?

• Full Jira Software (Cloud/Data Centre) administration, including project configuration, schemes, workflows, permission management, and custom fields.
• Develop and optimise automation rules using Jira Automation or scripting tools (e.g. ScriptRunner, Groovy).
• Implement integrations with external tools (CI/CD pipelines, Git repositories, Slack, Jenkins, etc.).
• Monitor system performance, handle troubleshooting, and ensure platform stability and scalability.
• Design and maintain advanced dashboards, reports, and real-time metrics for different teams (technical, PM, QA).
• Collaborate with DevOps and software engineering teams to align tooling with SDLC needs.
• Assist in system upgrades, user migrations, and plugin management.

The profile we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Jira and Confluence in a technical/admin role.
• Proficiency with Jira REST APIs and scripting (Groovy, JavaScript, or Python).
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and software development lifecycle.
• Experience with Atlassian ecosystem administration and plugin customisation (e.g. ScriptRunner, Insight, BigPicture).
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps or other development tools.
• Strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills.
• English level: Advanced (B2 minimum, C1+ preferred).

Nice to Have:

• Atlassian certifications (ACP-100, ACP-120).
• Experience with Jira Service Management (JSM).
• Knowledge of cloud migration from server or data centre environments.
